I don’t know if Churchill was a true believer in Jesus Christ, but by following “Taps” with “Reveille,” he seemed to be testifying that death is not the final note in history. There will be that “great gittin’ up morning,” when the dead in Christ shall rise.

A Critical Balance

Many a time we find ourselves making resolutions to live, lead, and maintain a more productive and purpose-driven life. A life that brings honor, pride, and respect from and to humankind and the Creator. Human life, like that of all mortals, is short and finite.

Insomnia

Insomnia can be described as a medical condition that makes an individual unable to fall asleep or remaining asleep for a reasonable time. In many cases, the insomniac would wake up abruptly and remain so till morning. Note that insomnia is classified as such by the quality of sleep, and how one feels after they sleep.

Shepherd or Hireling?

In the fifteenth chapter of Luke, the Pharisees railed against Christ, accusing him of receiving sinners. Christ countered their claim by a set of parables. He presented to them in the lost sheep, lost coin and prodigal son the dire need of the sinners, their utter inability to help themselves and how joyful it was to reclaim even one as such.
