Hearken My Son ~Joshua Kwemboi
Hearken my Son, hearken son of my womb Tragedy will come, Deborah Will you be ready? A maid and/or a judge who leads a great camp? Like Barak in need, her help you will have
When death shall strike, and it’s pang sorely stung Friends and foes may hide, save Ruth won’t hide “Your God will be my God, in your lodge I will lay.” “Where you will go, I’ll go,” in your loss, I won’t hide”
When the Lord will call, many feign not to hear. Will she be there to bear the Lord’s message? “Behold, the Lord’s handmaid” “Unto me be it as your word,”
Charm is deceptive, beauty is fleeting. Noble character is impressive, never to miss, She’s kind never oppressive,Her choice words, a blessing Like Mary, she’s submissive, she’s worth the praise
A Woman of God ~June Akinyi
She’s always giving But never receives She’s always submitting But never been the one demanding
She sacrifices She bears with the vices To proclaim her affection She’s always there supporting
This woman is different sincere and an open book Loyal and decent Even with the difficulties thrown her way She doesn’t live in resentment
For she’s holy She’s all kind and Godly She’s faithful and hopeful She’s kept by God,so she never despairs
From her, I learned It’s never just about what we want But the Lord will always, our needs, grant For He is kind, faithful, and just And in Him, we ought to keep our trust
Women of Faith: Biblical Tribute ~BOKEN
From Eden’s dawn to the Saviour’s light Women of faith stood strong in the fight Through trials and tears, Through joy and grace They walked with God in time and place
Eve, the mother of all the earth Bore the sorrow, yet she gave birth Her seed was promised, hope was sown Through her, redemption would be known
Sarah, Who laughed at heaven’s decree Yet bore a son as God did pronounce Through an aged womb, a nation came Her faith endured despite her shame
Rahab, A woman scorned and lost Yet redeemed by faith at great a cost She hid the spies choosing the Lord Found her place in His reward
Hannah, Weeping and full of prayer Offered her son with love so rare God heard her cry depicting her faith so rare A prophet rose from vows to keep
Esther, Brave before the throne Saved her people, she stood alone For such a time, she took her stand With God’s own strength, she changed the land
Through ages past, their voices still ring Women of faith, their praises still sing In trusting God, their names still remain A legacy that still proclaims
So rise o daughters, strong and true Let faith in God still shine through you Just as the women of faith, Through their trials and strife, Your faith also lights the path to life
