I was watching the story of a young lady called Jane Kristen Marczewski the other day. She was one of the contestants on America’s Got Talent in 2021. She was an incredibly talented singer—actually, she wrote the song It’s OK, one of her originals. Jane’s story is truly inspiring because, at the time she was competing, she had just been diagnosed with cancer. Despite the pain and the knowledge that she didn’t have much time left on earth, she delivered one of the most moving renditions of all time, inspiring millions of people across the globe.

In Matthew 6:34, during His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says, “…do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Reading from verse 25, Jesus encourages us to rely on God for our daily needs, emphasizing that worrying about tomorrow is unnecessary because God will provide. Often, when bad things happen around us, we tend to lose hope and feel like the whole world is turning against us. It can be really tough sometimes—academic pressure, financial stress, social and relationship issues—all of these can weigh us down. But we have the assurance that someone is looking after us, and His name is Jesus.

Even as we try to live in the moment, it’s comforting to know that Jesus fully understands our struggles. In Hebrews 4:15, we are reminded that we have a Savior who has experienced everything we go through and understands our pain, no matter how small it may seem. Have you ever felt like life is just too much? Like everything is going wrong, and you’re not sure how to keep going? This verse reassures us that God knows everything we are facing. That’s one of the main reasons why we shouldn’t worry about tomorrow, or even the next few hours or minutes. He knows our needs, and He is faithful enough to provide for us according to His will.

So in this moment, relax and leave it all to God. Enjoy the little blessings that come your way—the genuine friendships, the laughter, the sunshine, the sunset, the soothing sound of rain, loving parents and guardians, good food, restful sleep, and the knowledge that someone is watching over you every second. All you need to do is trust Him. Don’t worry so much about life—Jesus has already conquered it all.

Just live in the moment. Take a deep breath, think of one thing you are grateful for, and thank God for it.

Live a little.
