Throughout history, women of God have stood as pillars of faith, courage, and devotion. Their stories teach us perseverance in trials, grace in leadership, and the power of unwavering trust in God. In them, we find inspiration to walk boldly in our purpose.

The poems below reflect on this divine strength—may they stir your heart and deepen your faith.

She Deserves Her God ~scootieno

She goes on her weary knees close to the altar, In her heart, she bleeds for a child, She meets the life trial with uncompromising meekness, A woman of a sorrowful spirit; To dedicate a child to God, her heart yearns, Receiving a gift for which she has so earnestly entreated, “The asked of God,” Samuel is born, Hannah, deserves His listening

She offers two turtledoves to the altar, an offering appointed for the poor of her time But they are acceptable sacrifice to the Lord, The Lord sees the willingness of her heart, Her love for God, made the offering of sweet fragrance, In her womb, the only turtledove from the heavenly nest, A gift unto the perishing world, for it’s redemption, An ultimate sacrifice for the remission of all sin, Mary, the Mother of Jesus, deserves His protection

There was the woman with the issue of blood, Cursed and casted away by her own people; “Unclean and defiled by sin,” they declared, Now, what does this woman seek? She wanders with a tear and smile as a covering, Wandering aimlessly from hospital to hospital, Belonging to God yet none to call her own, One day, along the busy streets, she meets a Savior, One touch of faith into everlasting fountain of life, The woman who touches the hem of Jesus’ garment, Yes you, deserves His healing

She wakes up early in the morning sun, raises her voice to the uttermost High, With dewy expectations within her garden. She talks to her Savior; Sings a song of praise to her thoughtful wonderful Savior, The Savior all patient with her, The Savior all knowing of her life circumstances, Like Mary Magdalene she deserves His grace

While the water boils on the indoor fireplace, She crotchets silk fabrics on her fingers. Scented vapor of hibiscus tea fills the house, with unwavering freshness of air, As the tea chimes down her throat, a thought strikes her; “Someone somewhere doesn’t have this tea.” She makes more and invites the strangers and neighbors, She prays for them; offers them fabric clothes she made. Dorcas deserves His support

Arise! Oh Woman of God ~legal friend

A virtuous woman who can find?
For she is of a different breed,

Her story beyond measures are untold,
Her price is far above gold,
For she is clothed with God’s glory

She stands out in a crowd
She, like Esther, understands the reason for a crown,
To save and not to slay men,

She, like Deborah, is a force,
A leader who knows no rest till God’s kingdom is enforced,
A warrior unafraid to fight for what is right,
for with her might, she will put the enemy to flight.

A woman who, despite the rage and pain, decides to stay,
Like her mother, Dinah will not sit and watch the agenda of the enemy prevail,
but on her knees, she will pray for the kingdom to avail,

She, like the shepherd
sheep will not only bring her food from a far,
but will take God’s kingdom far

Like a gem so bright,
she is the light in the late night, pulling men out of darkness into light

So arise, oh woman,
why worry when Christ is your bedrock ,
wipe your tears now
ignore peninah for your Samuel is on the way.
